The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) has suspended Ballarat dentist Ian Lomax after reports allegedly linked him to the neo Nazi group National Socialist Network.

Media reports also alleged that Lomax attended the attack on Camp Sovereignty in Melbourne's Kings Domain, following an anti-immigration rally in the city on August 31.

Lomax has not been charged with any offence by Victoria Police.

Lomax was employed with Drummond Dental in Ballarat. Drummond Dental sacked Lomax, following a September 6 investigation by The Age, exposing the dentist’s links to neo-Nazi groups and attendance at their rallies.

"Drummond Dental does not tolerate discrimination or hate in any form and remains dedicated to serving the community," a now-deleted statement by Drummond Dental said, reported ABC. "We are now aware of recent media coverage involving a former employee. This individual is no longer associated with Drummond Dental."

According to anti-fascist group The White Rose Society, Lomax, who previously practised in New South Wales, first came to their attention in footage taken by The Age in February 2025 of a “training at Elwood with the National Socialist Network.”

“Lomax has also featured on a National Socialist Network Telegram channel, in a training photograph for the Victorian Rural West chapter, alongside Hamish Cameron and Gus Hartigan,” WRS  said.

WRS said that Lomax attended the March For Australia anti-immigration rally on August 31.

“We spotted Ian Lomax throughout the day on 31 August. He and some other National Socialist Network members were photographed at different points of the day wearing mouth guards,” WRS said.

Lomax also allegedly participated in the attack on Camp Sovereignty the same day, WRS claimed. The attack on the First Nations Camp Sovereignty saw neo-Nazis attacking women and children.

Victoria Police arrested 15 people for the attack, including NSN leader Thomas Sewell.
